Should I disable my on board sound card?

I recently put in a GOOD sound card (can't remember what kind cause I can't remember anything EVER)
but anyhow, I was wondering if I should somehow disable my on board sound card? If so how can I do it right?

You should know I tried

Go into bios at startup and look to disable onboard sound from there save and exit settings.
